So, you’ve found me.

Oh, hello there. I’m Andrew Tobias, or as I like to call myself for professional purposes, “Andrew J. Tobias.” I’m an Ohio-based journalist who works for cleveland.com, with my work also appearing frequently in The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer. I currently am covering the preparations for the 2016 Republican National Convention, and also generally write about local government and politics. I am not noted financial writer Andrew Tobias, who to my dismay registered andrewtobias.com years before my family even got the Internet.

Here are some of my favorite stories I’ve done during my career.

You also can read my latest stories, follow me on Twitter, learn about my professional history, or even check out the music I’ve been listening to lately if you want.

It’s not always pretty, but I am a big believer in the ability journalists have to enrich and strengthen communities and to hold powerful institutions accountable. And sometimes both!

My interests include Cleveland professional sports, history, music, politics, zombie fiction, intermittent exercise, video games, and beer. Pretty normal stuff.

Feel free to drop me a line at andrewjtobias at gee mail.
